The Sanctuary of Fortuna Primigenia and the Tomb is a lesser known gem in Lazio next to Palestrina. There is a beautiful museum inside, and the view from the sanctuary is breathtaking. I will be sharing some shots of the museum later on. Reviews Summary

Visitors are consistently impressed by the Sanctuary of Fortuna Primigenia Palestrina, often calling it a highlight of Lazio, even surpassing some Roman attractions. The combination of the magnificent ancient ruins, the exceptionally well-curated museum with its stunning Nile Mosaic, and the breathtaking panoramic views makes for an unforgettable experience. The excellent value of the €10 ticket, which includes multiple sites, and the friendly, knowledgeable staff further contribute to its high praise.

"I was drawn to Palestrina by the stunning views and pictures of steps, however the brightest star was the mueum.
Parking was simple and right in front, up some knee ligament straining steps, and into grand foyer.
Its €10pp, but this includes visits to the Archaelogical Site and the forum in the town below. The staff are knowledgeable and charming, I thought some were there just for security, but they offered additional information in a mind blowing museum.
Some of the exhibits are amazing, the cast of Lucus Vero, so lifelike and a pal of Marcus Aurelius. The bronze, lady's vanity cases and their glass paste pearls. But you must look up at the paintings on the walls, I think I identified the Trojan Horse and Noah's Ark.
The top floor contains the Nile Mosaic, which had been removed from the forum, look out for the giant serpent and the man in bed with more than one other person.
The Archeological site and forum could not follow this for wonder, but again in both the staff were so helpful"

"Perhaps the best single museum and archaeological area in Lazio — including Rome. The ruins of this temple complex are both magnificent and accessible; together with the views, this is one of the best prophetic sanctuaries this side of Delphi. The museum itself is medium-sized but well-curated, with a wide range of objects — some truly exquisite — spanning a thousand years of the site’s history: you can take it all in, focus on a few rooms, and not feel overwhelmed. And the museum’s staff are friendly and helpful. Add to this the lovely hillside old town, the small museum by the cathedral (also very much worth a visit), and the breezes that make Palestrina cool even in a Roman August, and for 10 euros (tickets to both museums and sanctuary) and a forty minute bus ride you have the best day trip from Rome in existence."

"Magnificent location and view after a little climb from the center of Palestrina... We didn’t enter the place because it was closed, but the place and the view were more than worth the climb ! Photo s taken in June 2020..."
