What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Parco Fluviale del Serchio for its beautiful natural setting along the river, ideal for walking and cycling. The well-maintained paths and peaceful atmosphere are frequently highlighted. However, some mention concerns about water quality and occasional noise from nearby industrial activities.
"The park develops along the banks of the Serchio river between the provinces of Lucca and Pisa; it includes a cycle-pedestrian path from Ponte a Moriano to Ripafratta (after which it is possible to continue towards other large parks via the Puccini cycle-pedestrian path or via the new cycle-pedestrian path between Nodica and Migliarino). For me it was an essential point of reference as well as a source of great relaxation in a turbulent summer (post pandemic) like that of 2020. I add the photos of Marlia beach (an interesting point of the park) characterized by a large river islet at the confluence with the Fraga torrent; not very far from the Lammari cycle/pedestrian path"

"Nice path along the Serchio with easy access. Nice walk even with children"

"A very beautiful natural place that invites you to linger. A wonderful stretch of river, pretty wildflowers, cute little fish. Unfortunately, there is anoxic decomposition beneath the mud surface, which not only stirs up cloudy broth with every step through the cool water, but also sends a sulphurous stench into the air. And opposite there is a gravel factory or something similar and therefore there is a lot of machine noise. Still really nice!"
