What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Villa Caprile Gardens for its beautiful, well-maintained Italian gardens with charming, functioning water features. The student-led tours are a highlight, with guides often described as knowledgeable and enthusiastic. While the interiors are adapted for an agricultural institute, the historical architecture and frescoes are still appreciated. Some note that the villa's interior might require more maintenance.
"A beautiful villa (complex of related buildings) with a regular layout, featuring a small monumental staircase, a reception hall (now a fully frescoed conference room), and the headquarters of the Cecchi Institute of Agriculture. The complex also features four levels of restored Italian-style gardens, including the one in front of the villa with functioning water features. A 9 (the buildings would require maintenance)."

"Accompanied by the very knowledgeable young guides Giacomo and Leonardo, we immersed ourselves in this villa and summer residence of the Marquis Giovanni Mosca, a well-preserved and fascinating villa, dating back to 1600 and which is currently the seat of the Agricultural Institute. Many famous and important people of the time stayed in this place, which is easily deduced from the imposing structure of the Villa and the wonderful gardens with interesting water features. The guided tours are managed during the summer/winter hours by the students of the Agricultural Institute."

"It is (along with Villa Imperiale) one of the two most interesting and best-preserved villas in the Pesaro area. Today it is home to the Agricultural Institute. Its origins date back to the 1640s, when Marquis Giovanni Mosca decided to build a summer residence on the Caprile estate, transforming a previous structure. The architectural structure is well preserved, but the interiors, now used as rooms for the Agricultural Institute, are not. The gardens and, in general, the exterior are well-maintained. The water features in the gardens are still in working order. The relationship with the Agricultural Institute is interesting. Guided tours are, in fact, led by the students themselves during the school's closure. Definitely worth a visit."
