Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Palazzo Farnese for its impressive collections, particularly the Roman history exhibits and Renaissance art, calling it one of Piacenza's best museums. However, some reviewers note that staff can be overly eager to close up, leading to a rushed experience if arriving late in the day. Reddit+2

"The museum itself was great but after buying the tickets, they told us to hurry up because we are going to close in one hour. At first we thought it’s ok and it is not going to be a huge collection or something, but it was and we couldn’t see even half of it. If you know your museum is big and it is impossible to see it under 2-3 hours, you should warn people who are buying tickets! And from each new salon that we were passing, there were staff members who were warning us about the time and pushing us out of that room. :)))it was a good collection and the structure itself was quite nice but their behavior was not right."

Khashayar EdalatPazhooh

"One of the best museum in Piacenza personally. They features many collections from Farnese family within the palace. Also underground they have a huge exhibition of Roman history with Piacenza as backdrop. The detail to popular knowledge together with the local vibe are really interesting, it’s like you can learn both Italian history and Piacenza history at the same time. Upstair house one of the most important painting of this museum. Some other temporary exhibition also worth visiting. On the first sunday of the month the ticket will be 1 euro( by the time of this review)"

Lam Ngu

"One of my favourite museums in Piacenza!!!
I wish I had more time to explore the entire museum... So I will definitely be back to explore the rest of the museum!"
