His monumental sandstone facade is easily noticed in the medieval district of Piazza Maggiore. The construction of the sacred building, whose architecture was designed by Giovenale Boetto, originally from Fossano, began in 1664 and continued until 1678. Inside, a pictorial cycle was dedicated to Saint François-Xavier. In the apse and on the central vault, certain episodes of the life of the saint are represented with a strong scenographic effect."
