What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Po Delta Park for its unique wetland ecosystem, abundant birdlife, and opportunities for peaceful exploration via bike and boat. It's lauded as an unusual, genuine, and less crowded gem in Italy, perfect for nature lovers and birdwatchers. However, some note concerns about drought affecting water levels and occasional litter in certain areas.
"This is one of the most interesting and beautiful places in Europe to go for bird watchers. If you want to be alone, go in February before the migrating birds leave the delta and its salty lakes to fly north. And bring your bike. We made Comacchio our home base, a cute little city and at that period of the year without tourists."

"🌿 Po Delta Park – beautiful but buggy
The park itself is lovely and peaceful, with lots of nature to enjoy. However, there were a lot of mosquitoes, so be sure to bring repellent if you visit! 🦟✨"

"Almost a harsh place, but still fascinating: the delta of the major Italian river, south of Venice lagoon. A place where it is almost impossible to tell the water apart from the land, and the (many) rivers from the (many) lagoons. Small boats and bikes are the best way to enjoy this unusual, genuine and seldom-visited spot of Italy; good local food, and lot of opportunities for birdwatching. Have you ever asked for a tip on a place to visit that is unusual, still true to itself, and not overcrowded of tourists? Here is that place.
UPDATE August 2019: this year I went back for birdwatching, looking for pink flamingos.. some more photos published."
