"Simplicity and essentiality are evident within this ancient parish church dating back to the 4th century. The building stands in the village of Polenta (municipality of Bertinoro), and even from the outside, you can admire the stone structure (the façade, however, has been redone). A small side door opens into the wall, allowing access to the interior. Upon entering, you breathe in the air of times gone by: stone columns supporting large arches, the wooden roof, and the crypt (what a sight! I'll leave the surprise for you when you visit). The only downside is the poor lighting: if you visit the church just before sunset, you have to watch where you step. It should be better appreciated."
