Starting from the village of San Bernardo, you'll climb up the valley until you reach the first picnic area, equipped with a BBQ. Those who want to avoid a bit of a climb can reach this area by car.
From here, you can proceed in three directions:
1- Continue up the stream and reach the Bait de Valorz, almost at the base of the waterfalls, which is also equipped with tables, a BBQ, and bathrooms (real ones).
From here, you can then climb further to reach the Casera mountain hut and Lake Sora Sas.
2- Take the road to the Pozze mountain hut on the right side of the valley.
3- Take the road to the Polinar mountain hut on the left side of the valley. It's a very challenging but beautiful climb. Once you arrive at the mountain hut, the owner Omar, his wife, and son will be happy to prepare a delicious lunch for you and provide you with all the information you need to know about the operation of a mountain hut and how the cheese is made (excellent)."
