You want to get in line at least 30 minutes in advance if you want to sit in a certain spot. The schedule is printed and you can take a picture of it. Tickets are easy to purchase and they offer discount for large groups. We left Rapallo and it was raining so they brought the closed ferry to keep dry which was really great. Everyone is very friendly and they even held the ferry for my dad because he walks slow with a bad knee. Highly recommend if you are visiting."
