#pedagogiasalternativas #metodologiasactivas #montessori #waldorf #reggioemilia #pikler #educacion

A true Baroque jewel, built to preserve a fresco of the Holy Crucifix, painted in oil on plaster by an anonymous artist from Reggio, during the plague of 1630-31. In 1761, construction began on the new oratory designed by Giovan Battista Cattani, known as Cavallari, from Reggio. In 1763, the church was opened for worship and completed at the end of the century.
Closed following the Napoleonic suppression of the brotherhoods, it was reopened in 1814; in the last century it underwent two restoration interventions. The scenographic façade is interesting, whose portal is surmounted by a shaped window with a balustrade and three marble statues by the Veronese sculptor Angelo Finali (18th century), representing the three virtues (Faith, Hope and Charity). The interior consists of a single room, enriched by balustrades and elegant stuccos. The altar, in 19th-century stucco, is the work of the Tondelli workshop. The apse houses the fresco of the miraculous, most holy crucifix representing "Christ Crucified with the Sorrowful Virgin kneeling at his feet". The last restoration intervention in 2018, by the architect Paolo Bedogni, involved the façade and brought back to light its original colors."
