"Very nice place"

Pyae Phyo Swe

"The prof. Rimondini places the history of this building in that of the city of Rimini at the beginning of the 16th century. When two families who had been part of the high Malatesta bureaucracy, the Monticoli and the Maschi, built monumental palaces for themselves.
The palace is an open wound in the city. It is one of the logos of the bombings of the Second World War which saw Rimini as a bastion of the Gothic Line.
The facade was dismantled in the 1960s and all the decorative elements are in the municipal warehouses.
There is debate about its reconstruction.
Now it is not accessible but from inside the profile of the Roman theater is visible, of which some elements still exist."

Fonderia Innocenti

"It is quite shameful that so many years after the war this historic building remains in these sad conditions. We hope that after the theater this last dark page for our city will also come to an end."

Giordano Angelini
