"Walked past this Basilica coming back from Trivestere district. Built in 4th century with changes and additions over the centuries. The bell tower is from the 14th century. Some of the paintings in the Basilica are from famous painters. There are 22 granite reused columns were antique columns before they were used in the 12th century. There is a lot to see in this Basilica."

"Little-known basilica, honoring a little-known santity. Gorgeous interior, an easy half-hour of sightseeing exploring this dark and mysterious temple."

HERM PAZ

"This is a lovely church with an amazing crypt below, this is possibly the best 3 euros I spent.

It is not clearly advertised that you can visit the crypt, just a small sign by the door, pay the man in the office, and he shows you the staircase down to the crypt.

Lots of fragments of frescos to see and a coffin with some suspect bones in it.

Highly recommended."
