Reviews Summary
Visitors are often struck by the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul EUR Rome's unique modern architecture, particularly its striking facade and impressive rotunda. It's appreciated as a distinctive landmark within the EUR district, offering a contrast to Rome's historical sites. "I happened to be in the Basilica on the day of the Pope Francis' passing. I came in at 8am on Easter Monday and there was practically no wait. Despite the sad event happening that very early morning, Basilica and its visitors carried on with ease (nobody knew anything that early). That's exactly how Pope Francis would want everything to go on as if it is just another day. He was a humble and beautiful soul. We had Dome tickets but we were not let in to the top of the tower and everyone was asked to leave suddenly. I saw the cafe manager get an urgent call as I was in line to get coffee at the Dome, they closed everything and left. Nobody knew why, but we found out a mere hour after. By then I was lucky to have seen the Basilica thoroughly, pass through the Holy Doors, witness heavenly singing and organ playing, marvel at countless artworks, and enjoy the mysterious feeling the Basilica surely gives! To my awe, I received an email that my tickets were fully refunded due to Pope's passing, which is unbelievable and not something I could expect. This solidified my experience as 5 stars. Amazing place, worth the visit (go before 10am, you will love it)."

"Impressive interesting and very simple. All of these words can describe this church . There was an interesting installation outside that day. Inside really simple very spacious and modern. No much art as people used to see, especially in Italian churches. Loved it from outside! Nice statues in front of it."

"Although the building imposes in the city skyline and can be seen from the distance, its interior leaves a lot to be desired."
