Reviews Summary

Pasta e Vino offers a highly popular, authentic Roman dining experience with exceptional homemade pasta, particularly the carbonara and seafood dishes. While many praise the fresh ingredients, lively atmosphere, and friendly staff, some find the restaurant to be overcrowded, noisy, and with small wine portions. Reservations are essential, and patience is key due to potential waits.

"TOURIST TRAP with an ENORMOUS LINE for a pretty OK standard food!!!!

We ended up making a reservation for 8PM in this restaurant, when we arrived there was a huge line, which I thought we wouldn't have to face it since we had RESERVATIONS! And the girl who was leading the entrance told us they were just going to prepare a table for us, then we waited and waited and waited in line, meanwhile they were serving some wine in shot cups for people in line, they only got us in when I told the wine boy we were leaving bc it was already 8:40PM and we were surrounded by other restaurants who were ready to treat us better.
Unluckily we got in, that place is a TUNA CAN! It's so small I felt like I was joining a big party, the tables were so close and the place was SO noisy, it was terrible, the waiter never came close and he forgot my drink twice!

And the food, I could make better myself, my gnocchi was super hard and the sauce was standard, the cheese board was the best part and the limoncello wasn't bad either, but I wish I had had a better night!

DO NOT FALL INTO THEIR TRAP! Treat yourself with a better place! At least I warned you ;)
Check my other review about gigis rooftop for a better place!"

"The food and overall experience were highly disappointing. The lasagne was served cold, and when we requested that it be reheated, it was returned completely flattened, lacking any layers or flavour, and appeared to have been overheated in a microwave.

My dish, the spaghetti Amatriciana, was excessively greasy, making it impossible to taste anything other than oil. The bacon on top, which was described as crispy, was instead burnt and devoid of flavour.

Additionally, the hostess at the entrance was smoking directly in front of the doorway. As guests entered the restaurant, they were forced to walk through a cloud of smoke, which I found particularly unpleasant and unprofessional.
My wine was 7.00€ and was just 3 sips .

Overall, the experience was not worth the amount we paid. Unfortunately, it fell well below expectations.
We left completely dissatisfied."

"This restaurant was absolutely wonderful! The experience, the ambiance, and especially the staff were magnificent. We came in for lunch—while it does get pretty packed, we arrived just before the rush, so I’d recommend either coming early or making a reservation.

Our waiter was fantastic: kind, patient, and funny. To make the visit even more special, my son had the amazing opportunity to help make pasta (or gnocchi) with a sweet older woman who was preparing it in the window. He got to wear the chef hat and apron, and he loved every second of it—such a unique and memorable touch!

The food itself was excellent. Portions were generous, the pasta was fresh and flavorful, and the pork sausages were phenomenal. The pizza was equally delicious.

Overall, this was such a delightful dining experience, and I highly, highly recommend it."
