As someone who has seen the other remains at Whitefriar Street Church in Dublin and even the statues of Saint Valentine himself, I was fascinated to see this part of the story in Rome. While a significant portion of his bones were transferred to Dublin in 1836, the relics in this Roman basilica are a tangible link to his original martyrdom.
