What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Sant'Eustachio Il Caffè is a historic Roman coffee institution celebrated for its exceptionally smooth and rich espresso and highly-rated cappuccino. While some find the pre-sweetened coffee unique and the pastries delightful, a few note that certain desserts can be overly sweet. The traditional ordering system and bustling atmosphere are part of its authentic charm.
"Sant' Eustachio serves an absolutely great cappuccino—smooth, rich, and perfectly prepared.
I also tried the pistachio cannoli; it was fine, but the coffee is the star. I will definitely be back soon to sample more of their treats."

"A classic Roman caffe with adaptations for us foreigners. They are very happy to guide you through the many choices you have from a simple caffe espresso that you drink at the bar to a shakerato, espresso with ice, shaken until cold and frothy. A lovely treat on a hot day.
Expect your caffe con zucchero (with sugar), unless you ask for it otherwise.
As with any new country, ask how they do things, or watch and learn. Here they order at the counter and then you give your receipt to the baristas who will make it for you. Then you can drink it there or take it outside, to a table or if you ordered togo - keep a walking!
They have nice snacks and treats as well, with patio seating and menus in English and Italian."

"We visited this great place that instantly became one of our favorites. The coffee was perfectly balanced, rich in flavor, and served with great attention to detail. The desserts were equally impressive—fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The place had a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made the whole experience even better. It’s definitely a spot we’d love to return to"
