"Incredible location, with friendly and helpful staff!
Really appreciate the nice touch of presenting us with posters of the Cima Della Madonna after our ascent of the Spigolo del velo.
Just note that water is scarce and bottles will have to be purchased- so have your fill and pack some with you before coming up!"

"Nice, friendly staff, quite steep prices and quite horrible food. Choices included spicy pasta I can't eat because my stomach doesn't deal well with spicy food or onion soup, not vegetable, no,no just chopped pieces of onion. 😖 And cabbage/omelette second which on its own while ok is not what you call a filling meal after a hard day of hiking.
I'd recommend just bringing up some pastries and saving yourself both money and stomach issues. From 4 huts in the area we stayed at, the food makes this by far the last place."

"We absolutely loved staying at Rifugio Velo della Madonna. It was quaint, comfortable, and the staff was helpful with our questions regarding the nearby via ferratas.
We didn’t have a reservation at this hut, but the staff took us in without hesitation. You can tell there is a community here from the family style tables, to watching the sunset together.
This hut wasn’t very busy, as it is off the via Alta route. The rifugios off of the via Alta routes were our favorite!"
