Reviews Summary

Visitors praise San Vito Lo Capo for its breathtaking beaches and crystal-clear waters, with many highlighting the enjoyable boat excursions and delicious local cuisine, especially couscous. However, some recent reviews point to a decline in marina management and facilities, with concerns about security and maintenance, leading some to seek alternative docking options.

"We spent two wonderful summers at this marina, including several stopovers, and had even arranged a winter berth for 2024/2025. With the previous management, we had a friendly and reliable relationship—our stay was pleasant, even though the docks and utilities were clearly in need of renovation.

Unfortunately, things changed for the worse. From October to April, the marina seemed completely unguarded. Despite video surveillance, we didn’t see any staff on-site for months. In December 2024, management changed without notice. Our calls went unanswered for days, and we had to travel back in January just to check on our boat ourselves.

The marina gate is always open, the dock is deteriorating, and the only restroom and shower facilities are in very poor condition—dirty, often without toilet paper, with broken doors and no privacy. The metal shower door resembles something from a prison.

Because the entrance isn’t secured, the facilities are frequently used by Moroccan migrants camped nearby. At night, they charge their devices at marina outlets. In response, the new manager keeps the restrooms locked—yet offers no solution for guests. After a month of back-and-forth, we had to make our own key at our own expense.

The new management also regularly argues with boat owners running daily excursions, sometimes requiring coast guard or police intervention and creating a tense atmosphere.

The only real change? The price. €110 for a 10-meter boat is excessive and unjustified—especially when two nearby piers charge €50 and €60.

San Vito lo Capo is a beautiful town, and we’ll return—but next time, to a different pier."

"Excellent boats, super nice and helpful staff! Ask for Francesco and Zio Pino, they are super professional guys that took time to explain us in detail how to drive the boat and were nice enough to wait us for an extra half a hour. The boats are next level, new with pristine finishes and even Bluetooth stereo! A must!!"

Alessandro Bazzoli

"Unkempt and dirty, such a shame as the sea here is beyond beautiful"
