What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
MUSINF is a valuable municipal museum in Senigallia, particularly for its extensive collections of Mario Giacomelli's photography and the Gruppo Misa. Visitors appreciate the free admission and the opportunity to see works by renowned artists. However, inconsistent opening hours and occasional communication issues have led to disappointment for some.
"Senigallia Municipal Information Museum, located on Via Marchetti in the historic center and pedestrian area.
A while ago, I saw a beautiful exhibition of the renowned artists TRUBBIANI from Ancona, graphic designer and sculptor, and Orfeo Tamburi for his paintings, also from Ancona. Admission is free, like all exhibitions in this large municipal location.
The people of Ancona know the artist Trubbiani primarily for his large, visually striking bronze sculptures depicting "The Rhinnocerons," located in the local Piazza Pertini. Orfeo Tamburi, a renowned painter, has many of his works exhibited at the Galleria Gioacchini on Corso Garibaldi, also in Ancona's historic center.
Thank you, Giovanni."

"Today I came to Senigallia specifically to visit the Giacomelli museum. I had looked up the location and opening hours on Google. There was no sign on the spot, but fortunately a young man told me they had moved. I went to Piazza del Duca in front of the Rocca Roveresca, but... the door was closed!!! Both the poster on the museum wall and the information totem in the square clearly stated that on Saturday mornings in July, the museum was open from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM!!! Fortunately, I was able to visit the Rocca, which was open to the public. What a disappointment! This way, you're not encouraging tourism. Communication and promotion of our region are essential for understanding and protecting our wonderful cultural and artistic heritage. Dear Mario, I'll be back, but this time I hope to find the green door wide open."
