"Visited Galleria Rizzi yesterday. It’s a beautiful gallery with a rich array of art and artifacts. Our guide Alessia was extremely knowledgeable and even gave our tour in perfect English (to accommodate this American). I recommend the gallery to anyone visiting Sestri who wants to learn more about Sestri Levante and Genovese art and history. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in town. Thanks, Alessia!"

"Great museum rich with culture."

"In a beautiful building overlooking the Bay of Silence, you can admire the collection of works of art put together by the Rizzo family, whose last heir decided to donate them to the State in the 1960s, on the condition that they were preserved, together, in the place created specifically to house them. The first nucleus of the collection is due to the Piacenza doctor Vittorio Rizzi, but the collection became substantial only with his son Marcello, a lawyer who loved to be paid in works of art. On the three floors that make up the museum, you can admire paintings, ceramics, furniture and various art objects. There is also an Andata al Calvario by Magnasco. Very low entrance fee: 5 euros. We took a visit accompanied by a guide, with which it took us about 40 minutes. Pay attention to the opening hours because the museum is only open in spring and summer. In autumn and winter there are only sporadic openings, generally for holidays. Google opening hours are not updated, so it is better to look directly on the site."
