What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking panoramic views of the Sestri promontory and Baia del Silenzio, calling the hike a must-do for its stunning scenery. The trail is generally well-marked, though the initial climb can be quite steep and uneven, requiring good footwear. Many appreciate the option for loop hikes and the meditative quality of the experience.
"For those who have hiked (long walked uphill), this should be easy - although the start is very rough on the legs (gets better). The views are amazing along the way. Either go for sunrise or sunset (but you can go midday too - but it will be very hot). There are benches along the way for sitting and the route is well sign posted. I did it alone and felt very comfortable, although im used to more difficult hikes. If you’re not in a rush, i would allocate 2-3 hours to enjoy it."

"Bring water and heed advice in signs near trail entrance. (See last photo for sign that appears near trail entrance adjacent to cemetery). We accessed the trail from near cemetery to begin our hike - to right of cemetery - free parking here. This route is very rigorous uneven climb and requires good walking shoes or sport sandals. We took a different route down which took us to area near shops in town - see photos. This route was much less rigorous, but still a climb but many areas were not nearly as hard to traverse as trail from cemetery.
We were not able to locate the entrance to trail that is just past Ice Cream Angels ( but returned that way)- see photos in case they are helpful."
