There is a reliquary of the baby Jesus’s swaddle in the back room in the hall of the bishops of Spoleto o top of a desk with a palm sized sign in Italian. If one does not speak or read Italian, you will not know that it is there less you intentionally search it out.
Recommend the museum highlight the reliquaries and provide all information in multiple languages to make this accessible to all guests.
A relic of the virgin and saint Emiliano are in the last level before you go down the stairs.
There is also a reliquary of the true cross and the holy thorns in the basement level past the life size statues of at John, Luca, Matteo e Marc.
Great exhibits and worth the visit."

"The diocesan museum can be visited with a 9 euro ticket which is only apparently expensive. In fact, in addition to the entrance to the Museum, it also includes the entrance to the beautiful Basilica of Sant'Eufemia, the audio guide for the entire route and the guided tour of the cathedral, complete with a climb up the bell tower. Furthermore, if you have purchased the Spoleto Card, you are also entitled to a one euro discount. The museum is divided into about ten rooms, with works of sacred subjects and some prestigious names: Beccafumi, Filippino Lippi, Alessandro Algardi and Gianlorenzo Bernini. The Basilica of Sant'Eufemia is a little jewel: you walk on the women's galleries and you can go down to admire the Cosmatesque altar (created for the Cathedral) and the surviving frescoes on the columns. Finally, the guided tour of the Cathedral is very interesting: you can see works by Pinturicchio and Filippo Lippi (including his tomb) and the route also includes climbing from a side chapel to a point from which you can admire the apse with the fresco of the coronation of the Virgin by Filippo Lippi up close. The visit ends with a climb up the bell tower, from which you have a magnificent view of the city, the square and the cathedral itself."

"The price is €9 and includes a visit to the works of art clearly with a religious background which date back to the twelfth century onwards, plus a visit to the church of S Eufemia. Leaving the diocesan complex with the same ticket there is a guided tour of the Duomo or the beautiful Cathedral of S. Maria Assunta with an adjoining bell tower and further reserved rooms. The guide who accompanied me, a highly cultured lady with a foreign accent, was able to make the tour even more fascinating"
