"Absolutely stunning! The Area Marina Protetta di Tavolara – Punta Coda Cavallo is a true gem of Sardinia. The water is crystal clear, the mountain backdrop and surrounding scenery are breathtaking, and the whole area feels untouched and peaceful. I went scuba diving here and it was incredible—so much marine life and vibrant underwater landscapes. Even just the boat ride was worth it, with panoramic views and calm, turquoise waters. This is a beautifully protected area, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sardinia—whether you want to snorkel, dive, or simply enjoy a boat trip. Unforgettable experience! 🌊⛰️🐟"

"Lovely spot but being high season, loads of visitors coming in hourly on the tourist boats. Still plenty of room on the beach and in the water though.
Beware of the flesh eating fish 🤣🤣 while i was dabbling about in the water, I noticed there were cleaner fish keen to nibble off any dead skin they could find on my legs - for free!! Win!!"

"One of the best places to visit in the area. You can either book an excursion for the day (50-100€ per Person, usually includes a light meal), or rent a boat yourself in Porto San Paolo (starting around 110€ for a standard 40hp rubber dinghi, no license required, fuel costs extra..it cost us 45 € for a trip to both tavolara and nearby islands). Tavolara itself is very expensive, bring your own food/drink on board if allowed."
