What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Temple of Malchittu for its historical significance and the stunning panoramic views from its summit. The hike up is considered a rewarding part of the experience, though it requires sturdy footwear and preparation for heat. Some minor inconveniences, like encountering cows on the path, are noted but don't detract significantly from the overall positive impression.
"The trek up to the Temple is approx 1.5km and is step in sections. They is also a small climb (rocky steps) up to the Temple.
Fantastic views from the top and interesting glimpse of how people lived 1500 bc."

"A lovely, 2 km walk up to the temple. The 1st km is flat and in shade the second km goes gradually up and the last hundred meters, you must climb up some rocks to reach the temple. Stone benches, in the shade, are thoughtfully provided every couple of hundred meters to sit on. While the temple is nothing spectacular. It is a lovely walk, well worth doing. Recommended: (by the kind lady in the ticket office) Do early in the day before it gets hot. €4 entrance."

"This Nuarghe involves a 4 km round trip hike, but it is worth the efforts. Climb the Rock nearby, you have a magnificent view over the sorroundings and the mountain Formations nearby. You can also see the nuarghe from above. You should have good mountain boots for this hike, no flip flops! And you should be free from vertigo when you climb the Rock, it is a 2- slope I would say, but only short."
