Reviews Summary

Visitors often praise the immense scale and historical significance of the Temple of Olympian Zeus, noting the impressive remaining columns and fallen figures. However, some reviews mention the site's ruined state and the challenges of finding the entrance or parking. The intense summer sun and the need for comfortable footwear are also common points.

"Very expansive. Buy tickets early so you don't have to wait in line. Also the bronze statue is a replica. The ruins were awesome and you could get close. Parking was interesting to say the least."

Steve Chitsey

"First of all, I have to say that it was difficult to find the entrance gate. The gate that appears on the map is for the officers, we went around the back roads and went to the parking area. The parking lot is paid. It has a sunlit dirt parking lot with few trees. You can buy a ticket at the entrance. Those who want it have the opportunity to get an audio guide. They keep IDs for the audio guides. The historical artifacts are magnificent, very well preserved and it is a big area. It takes a long time to tour inside, it is useful to be careful considering the intense summer sun. We used shuttle buses on the way back. Although they are paid, they allowed us to travel half an hour in the heat in 5 minutes and cool down, I recommend it."

Alper Öner

"Immense temple. Sadly none of the pillars are standing but you can still experience the magnitude of it and importance it had at the time."
