"It is a special place that has a very calming effect. The accommodation is solid and basically good, but unfortunately poorly equipped (from too few plates to too few cooking utensils to the most impractical kitchen bin I have ever seen). Ants are practically invited in because the apartment doors are not sealed at the bottom. Completely unacceptable in my opinion.
But the location, the wine, the landscape, the pool, the nice people, the general amenities... make up for it.
Apart from that, Elba is simply a beautiful island."

"The hotel is in a stunning location, all surrounded by nature it is heaven for sports fan and people who seek peace and nature, far from the crowds.
Service needs improvement, from reservations to guest assistance. However, the worst part is the restaurant, which is in a fascinating location and food is good but lacks completely in organisation. On our first dinner we waited 45 min just to order and the waiters were fighting among the tables, therefore we decided to never eat there again (not very comfortable since you are in the middle of nowhere). Breakfasts were as well disorganised, you could wait 30 min just for having a table prepared and cleaned from previous guests, coffee orders could leave you waiting for 20 min and you could always find missing items on the buffet (like cups or milk never replaced)."
