Reviews Summary

Visitors express disappointment over the amphitheatre's poor maintenance and frequent closures due to renovations, noting that much of the site is viewed from behind fences. However, the free audio guide is praised for its informative content, offering a valuable historical perspective.

"What a shame! I'm saying that an architectural relic of this magnitude is so poorly maintained! What a shame! Yesterday, as I passed by, my heart sank. I saw how dilapidated the structure is. The various interventions made over time are visible... and in my opinion, they were done terribly, with no regard for the materials. What a shame! I fondly remember that in the 1970s, this archaeological site hosted art exhibitions and events. I participated here, in this splendid setting, in various impromptu painting exhibitions with Tarantelli, Montauti, and other local artists... The president of Tourism and artisan Bucciarelli. Back then, it was enchanting! I remember that you could access the structure via a small bridge and admire the entire architectural complex. I would like to urge the councilors of the Municipality of Teramo, the Superintendent of Archaeological Heritage, and the Tourism Board to take action, otherwise nothing will remain of this heritage that brings to mind the grandeur and beauty of Roman art."
