"The tuna industry was once a main pillar of Sicily's economy. Unfortunately, most of the great Tonnaras were destroyed during the war and later abandoned - now they remain only as relics of the past.
Impressive structure that invites the imagination. I just wish it had a bit more informations around the history as I really wanted to learn more about it.
This tonnara is about 10 min walk from the main entrance (20 min from paid parking) but the walk was flat and pleasant."
