Reviews Summary

The Regione Piemonte Tower is a modern architectural landmark, praised for its innovative design and the unique 'hanging forest' on its top floor. While the building is fully operational and staff are professional, public access to the upper levels, including the panoramic views, is currently restricted, primarily serving regional government workers.

"A young skyscraper, now twenty years old, thanks to the idea of Massimiliano and Doriana Fuksas, which opens the doors to Turin South. It's fully operational, but the parking lots aren't yet open. It's a shame it's not accessible to the public, especially the top, but I understand the region's work requirements. There are numerous checks to ensure entry, and remember, we're in 2025 (replying to some reviews apparently written by people who perhaps don't know how to use the tool they used). I also don't understand why they cite regional or municipal policies or decisions when the review is simply saying, for example, that the skyscraper is operational, accessible, the staff is friendly, etc.
I'll conclude by saying that the staff is indeed professional and friendly, but that the rooftop is indeed somewhat left to the exclusive use of the workers when it could be a perfect public space of high quality."

"The skyscraper of the Piedmont Region is an institutional building in Turin. Designed by Massimiliano Fuksas and presented to the regional council held in Turin on 22 November 2007. The completed work has 42 floors above ground, of which 41 are for civil use and the last one is used as a hanging forest."

Paolo Sartori

"I was inside the Piedmont Region Skyscraper to take the phytosanitary license exam.

Bright, new, and clean spaces with vibrant colors create a comfortable work environment. Numerous express elevators allow you to reach all floors, and the staff is very friendly and competent.

Highly recommended if you're passing through. A tour of the top floor, where a hanging forest has been created, offers a splendid 360-degree view of the entire city of Turin. 🏙️"

In-depth insights and expert knowledge

Architectural Significance

The Regione Piemonte Tower, designed by renowned architects Massimiliano and Doriana Fuksas, stands as a significant piece of contemporary architecture in Turin. Inaugurated in December 2022, it represents a modern vision for the region's administrative and economic hub. The tower's design emphasizes clean lines and a forward-thinking aesthetic, making it a notable addition to the city's skyline. Its construction was the result of an international design competition, highlighting its global architectural relevance.

The building is more than just an office block; it's a symbol of Turin's ongoing urban development. It integrates various functions, including an office tower, an underground courtyard, and a service center, all connected seamlessly. The inclusion of a 'hanging forest' on the top floor is a particularly innovative feature, blending nature with the urban environment and offering a unique internal landscape. This approach to design reflects a growing trend in sustainable and biophilic architecture within modern city planning.

Visitors who have been inside often remark on the bright, new, and clean spaces that create a comfortable and efficient work environment. The use of express elevators to quickly reach all floors is a testament to the building's functional design. While public access is limited, the tower's architectural merit is undeniable and a point of interest for those appreciating modern design and urban innovation. Reddit

The 'Hanging Forest' and City Views

One of the most talked-about features of the Regione Piemonte Tower is its 'hanging forest' located on the uppermost floor. This unique indoor garden provides a striking contrast to the urban setting, offering a serene green space within the skyscraper. It's described as a 'splendid 360-degree view of the entire city of Turin,' making it a potentially breathtaking vantage point.

However, it's crucial to manage expectations regarding public access. Reviews indicate that this top floor is primarily for the exclusive use of regional government workers. While the potential for a high-quality public space is recognized, it currently remains largely inaccessible to tourists. This limitation means that experiencing the full panoramic views and the unique hanging forest is not a standard tourist activity.

For those who manage to gain access, either through official capacity or a rare special event, the experience is highly recommended. The combination of the lush indoor greenery and the expansive city vistas is a unique offering. It highlights the tower's dual role as a functional administrative center and a space with significant aesthetic and experiential potential. Reddit
