What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
While Museo del Fiore offers interesting exhibits on local nature and history, and is praised for its educational value, many visitors have been disappointed by its inconsistent opening hours and unexpected closures. The surrounding forest provides a pleasant natural escape, but the overall experience can be hampered by the lack of reliable access.
"It's impossible to visit; the building, besides being closed, is clearly in a state of neglect. A notice on the door informs you that both the museum and the Sasseto forest are unmanaged. A shame. The surrounding nature is wonderful."

"A frustrating visit! Yesterday, Sunday the 18th, I walked from Torre Alfina, and to my surprise, the museum was closed. They sold me tickets the day before and told me it was open. The sign with the hours said it was open, and on Google it showed it was open... but it was 11:38 and no one was there... I waited for the storm to pass and then walked back to Torre Alfina. It was 12:30 and still no one had come to open! Terrible, sad service, so little professionalism and concern for potential visitors. I hope the same admission ticket works for me if I can return another time!

Thank you for replying and confirming that the ticket will be useful in the future. I'm sorry for your mishaps along the way, which are completely understandable... however, you didn't arrive at 11:40 because, as you can see in my photo, I arrived at 11:37... and I stayed there until the rain stopped. ...and it's been a long time ;-) and no, he had no signal to call or send a WhatsApp....."
