Reviews Summary

Visitors are consistently impressed by the stunning Baroque interior of the Chiesa del Collegio dei Gesuiti, often deeming it more beautiful than the nearby cathedral. The intricate stucco work and marble decorations are highlights. However, many note that the church's opening hours can be unpredictable, leading to disappointment for some.

"Stunning church even though it’s pretty impossible to find it open (guess I was lucky today as they were getting ready to celebrate a marriage). The entrance is 1€/person, of course without receipt!"

"Beautiful church"

Ian Finney

"A Baroque church located in the center of Trapani, part of a religious complex that also includes the former college building and the former Jesuit convent. Construction of the church began in the early 17th century. After the suppression of the Society of Jesus in 1767, the church, still undergoing decoration, remained partially incomplete. The interior, which has three naves, is nonetheless richly decorated with stucco work by a student of Serpotta. It is well worth a visit."
