The church was rebuilt at the end of the 15th century and finally completed around 1520. It was once rich in frescoes and the few remaining traces give an idea of this. Upon entering, you have the effect of grandeur but after a few steps you realize that it is smaller than it seems because it is all in height, (think of the friars' choirs) as well as the beautiful altar polyptych framed by four columns and completely gilded. There are many stories about this church and its convent but I leave you the curiosity to discover them. To visit it, because it is always closed, a thoughtful guard has left his phone number on the door. Just call and he will accompany you for the visit and maybe leave him a little gift afterwards €"
