"Great place for beginners starting to get on hiking trails. It has it's own pathway or you can use the off road shortcuts. You'll never get lost because you can just the river stream or the trail way just make sure to look out for private properties and do not enter. We had a 5 hour trail going back and forth. We used the down stream path and explored until we reach the a small tunnel and a tomb then used the trail way going back. Make sure to bring lots of water as there are no refilling stations there.
Directions going to there from Rome. Much quicker way is get the FS going to viterbo or bracciano, go down at La storta station and from there you get the bus with number 032 on it."
