Reviews Summary
Venice cooking classes, particularly those led by Chef Michele, are overwhelmingly praised for their authenticity, delicious food, and engaging instructors. Participants highlight the market tours, hands-on pasta making, and the convivial atmosphere as major draws. While generally a highly positive experience, some may find the cost to be a significant investment.
"We recently went to Venice with our friends arriving a day early before the rest of our tour group so we could do a fresh market/pizza cooking class with Michele. This was hands down my favorite tour we did and it was the best food we ate the entire trip. Michele set the standards high and nothing compared. Michele was so welcoming and so much fun to learn from. I’ll be buying a pizza oven soon in the hopes I can make pizzas like those we made with Michele!"

"I had a wonderful beyond great class with Michele this week. It really was the height point of my trip to Venice. We started at the Rialto Market, where he explained about the seafood, vegetables and fruit on offer-where they came from, many from the farms on the Venetian St. Erasmo island. We had no pre set menu as we wanted to pick the best seasonal produce - and he knew the farmers and explained so much about every fish and the sourcing from various locations in great detail. I had visited the market many times, but not for 25 years, and he explained a lot of the economic history of the market and the local Venetian population changes.
Then we took the small traghetti ferry across the canal and walked to the family home, an apartment in a massive building built in 1596 for a very wealthy family. We entered through the canal entrance ,very high original ceilings and a modern teaching kitchen!
We cooked a 4 course meal and I learned so much- one special part was all the pasta making. Michele is a charming and smart teacher- even in our walk from the market he taught me so much. I really recommend a class with Michele."
