What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Funicolare di Castel San Pietro for its incredible value and spectacular panoramic views of Verona. The quick, affordable ride up the hill is a highlight, especially for sunset. While some mention it's a short experience, the breathtaking vistas and the pleasant atmosphere at the top make it a highly recommended stop for most travelers.
"You gotta do this. It’s amazing. We went around 3pm - 5pm before it got too crowded for sunset. Amazing views and really nice atmosphere. If you’re visiting Verona as a couple or solo, I can’t recommend this place enough!"

"Cable trolley up the hill to Castel San Pietro. It was not too expensive, 3eu back and forth. It's not a long ride, but it saves you a steep climb. You can also visit without the trolley, or just go up with and walk down at your own pace. Up there is a bar with reasonable prices and a terrace with really nice views over Verona's old city centre. Visited in July, it's best to go when the sun is a bit lower and less hot, around 20h. It was not too busy and beautiful, which gave me the opportunity to make a lot of pictures. Recommended!"

"Only €3 return, super quick journey and well worth it for the fantastic views. Very reasonably priced cafe at the top too. Great place to watch the sunset over Verona"
