Reviews Summary

The ferry service itself is generally reliable with frequent departures and scenic views. However, the port's organization and signage can be a source of frustration, particularly for drivers. Booking tickets online is a recurring tip to mitigate these issues and ensure a smoother journey across the Straits of Messina.

"Ferries are very good but the route to board the ferry is complete chaos. Signage is confusing when you come in from the E45. Just a little bit of english on the signs would help tourists to work out where to head, especially when you have already paid online. You see ticket offices then have head through the town to find where board, how stupid!"

Bruce Milne

"A lot of ferries going to messina so that is no issue, only keep in mind to buy tickets in advance as it can be a bit tricky and confusing at the port itself. Rather than that if it's early, embarking and disembarking goes relatively fast. However especially on weekends it can get very crowded and the queue can be long if you have a car!"

Jason P

"Always a lovely day to sail the Straits of Messina! Although I can’t imagine the horror of trying to do this in the high season! The water was beautiful as always - Morgan Le Fay was giving us her best! I love the fast boarding and ease of buying tickets online… get the app!! Get a Telepass! Don’t wait until you get there to get the tickets!!"
