It has a river running through it, but it's a bit on the rough side. There is a 30 minute trek you can that leads you to a deep river head... swim at your own risk.
This spot has alot going on for it but I still feel like this place underrated.

"Cranbrook has changed owners and is in the process of being renewed. Natural beauty is still there, but man-made structures are only partially restored. Sign on highway A-1 is for New Gen, private camp farther up the road. Google maps location is correct. One lane rocky road, but not far at all. May look abandoned when you arrive, but we were soon met by Curtis. He guided us on a path along the river to the river's source, coming from under the mountain, then cascading down. Cement viewing platforms with railings. Fantastic scenery at the source and all along the 1.5 mile trail. Cost was JMD1500 per person for the 2 hour hike. Well worth it. Adequate restrooms, showers, and changing rooms that Curtis can unlock. Bring your swimsuit. You will be ready for a dip after the hike.
P. S. Currently used by local groups for church picnics, weddings, etc. Well kept outdoor "kitchen" area available."
