What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Bawe Wali Mata Temple to be a beautiful and serene place with a powerful divine energy. The temple's location within Bahu Fort adds to its charm, offering historical context and scenic views. While the mandatory deposit of phones and shoes, along with the uphill walk, are noted, the overall spiritual experience is highly valued.
"After parking your vehicle at the parking lot, the tax is ₹30 and bike fare is ₹20.
You can keep your shoes and helmet only at the shops from where you buy prasad. You can enter barefoot to have darshan of the goddess. You cannot take gutkha, cigarette, tobacco, cigarette lighter inside, which you will have to deposit in the phone locker and after that you can have darshan comfortably.
There is a little crowd on Tuesday and Saturday. There is a little crowd during Navratri as well and the atmosphere up there is very nice which you will enjoy very well. At other times you can have darshan in 30 minutes.
Thank you
Jai Mata Di.🙏"
UTTAM DHAKA
"Beautiful serene temple. It is a short (5-7mins) mildly uphill walk to the temple from the point where a car/auto/bus will drop you. The walk up is lined with shops on both sides selling flowers sweets etc that you can purchase as offerings (but you don't necessarily have to for the darshan.)
Right as you are about to reach the temple people from the shops will start calling out to you to leave your shoes with them and that you can't take them forward, DONOT listen to them.
Once you're in the temple gardens, right before you enter the temple complex there is a place to keep your shoes. You will have to leave behind your mobile phones as well at the same place as you leave your shoes.
There are a lot of monkeys around so best to be careful of your belongings as they tend to snatch things from your hands, eye glasses, caps/ hats. (this is just general precaution and not specific to this temple, and monkeys are there at most temple complexes in India)"
