"Visited in the morning of August 16, 2025

A museum located west of Ogaki Castle in Ogaki City.
I was cycling around Ogaki that day and visited Ogaki Hachiman Shrine before coming here. Upon entering the samurai-style building, I noticed a small spring of spring water to the right of the gate. Inside, there were exhibits on Ogaki's history and customs, including a book documenting the Ogaki Domain's seizure of Ako Castle, where Carlos' ancestor, Oishi Kuranosuke, lived.
There were also displays of local crafts and a bonsai display in the garden, which I enjoyed."

"It was built to commemorate the 350th anniversary of Lord Toda's entry into the castle and opened in 1985.
A combined admission ticket for 200 yen allows you to visit both Ogaki Castle and the local history museum.
If you visit Ogaki Castle, it's worth passing through Ogaki Park and stopping by the local history museum, located on the west side.

The facility introduces the history and current state of Ogaki, with a focus on honoring Lord Toda, the successive lords of Ogaki Domain. Portraits of the successive feudal lords are lined up, but photography is prohibited.

The thing that made the biggest impression on me at the local history museum was the diorama of Ogaki Castle and the castle town, surrounded by triple moats. It's definitely worth a visit."
