Reviews Summary

The New York Bar at Park Hyatt Tokyo is a legendary spot, drawing visitors with its iconic 'Lost in Translation' fame, breathtaking city views, and nightly live jazz. While undeniably expensive with a cover charge, the sophisticated ambiance and memorable experience make it a worthwhile splurge for many.

"Lost in translation. If you’re looking to visit because the movie left you wanting more, this will scratch that itch. The hotel and scenes from the movie are also still identical, from the entrance, lobbies and bar there will be a familiarity that you just can’t shake.

We went late in the evening and it was a good choice since we were pleasantly surprised that they had a live band and also a phenomenal singer that brought the evening to a close. The service was good however not above what you would expect from a higher end establishment. However, The drinks and atmosphere made up for it.

Note: There is a cover charge and there might be a bit of a wait if you did not make reservations however they were good at accommodating us without. While you wait there are great views."

"One of the best experiences I had in Japan.
Staff speaks very good English, the food is great and the view and atmosphere in this place is amazing.
You can go there as a group/couple and have one of the tables for yourself and spend the evening all by yourself or even go there alone and strike up some conversation at the counter.
They also have live jazz music everyday which is really great.
It was quite expensive though. For one evening I spend around 100€ which included 3 drinks main dish and dessert. I also had to pay like 15€ as table fee since I was not a hotel guest."

"Easily lives up to the hype if you're a Lost in Translation fan! There's a cover fee once the evening jazz performance starts, but it is well worth it. The drinks are solid but everyone is there for the music/views. Some reviews note that it's hard to get to. It's really not - just go up to the 41st floor and make your way down the hallway and you'll see signs for the next elevator bank."
