"Great open park to take a walk along the bay overlooking Yokosuka port and see some Naval ships both US and Japanese. Visited in winter so no blooming flowers yet but you can tell it'll be nice to visit and walk through in Spring.
It is a French styled garden and some memorials and displays of Léonce Verny which the park is named after. He was a French naval engineer who led the construction of multiple naval facilities in the area in the late 1800s.
Right next to the Coasca mall and you can park in their parking lot or by the JR train station. There is a small playground for kids too.
