President Trump is visiting Yokosuka Naval Base tomorrow, so he went to see Yokosuka the day before. Surprisingly, there were people of all ages and genders walking around Verny Park, and even some young US military men looked like they were just about to go out and play. The broadcast was from Yokosuka, where things were business as usual.

It's considered a clean, spacious, and historically interesting spot, conveniently located near the train station and mall, making it a relaxing place for a stroll or a family outing.

"Great open park to take a walk along the bay overlooking Yokosuka port and see some Naval ships both US and Japanese. Visited in winter so no blooming flowers yet but you can tell it'll be nice to visit and walk through in Spring.
It is a French styled garden and some memorials and displays of Léonce Verny which the park is named after. He was a French naval engineer who led the construction of multiple naval facilities in the area in the late 1800s.

Right next to the Coasca mall and you can park in their parking lot or by the JR train station. There is a small playground for kids too.

A good place to take a walk and have some scenery and learn some history too."
