"This is a road bridge on Route 461 over the Arakawa River. There is a lot of traffic and the sidewalks are not very wide, so please be careful. You can see the Skytree in the distance. In the past, the "ghost chimney" was also clearly visible from this point.
(The following is a quote from Wikipedia)
This bridge is located 13.7 km from the mouth of the Arakawa River, and connects Motoki and Sekihara on the north bank of the Arakawa River, adjacent to the south of Nishiarai District, with Senju District (Senju Sakuragi 2-chome, Adachi Ward) on the south bank, and is one of the routes that connects eastern Saitama Prefecture with central Tokyo in a broader area.
Senju-Sakuragi intersection, located near the south end, is a key transportation hub where Otakebashi-dori (Tokyo Prefectural Route 313 Ueno Otakebashi Line), which crosses the Sumida River at Otakebashi Bridge and heads towards Machiya Station, Nippori and Ueno, and Sumida-dori (Tokyo Prefectural Route 461 Azumabashi-Ikomachi Line), which runs along the Sumida River and heads towards Kita-Senju Station, Mukojima and Asakusa, branch off. It is also designated as a general emergency transport road by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government for emergency transport to disaster prevention centers in the event of a disaster.
The bridge is 444.6 meters long, 15.7 meters wide, 15.0 meters wide, and has a maximum span length of 76.2 meters. It is a first-class bridge (TL-20) with 13 spans of simple steel plate girders (the three main spans are continuous steel plate girders). There are 2-meter-wide sidewalks on both sides of the bridge. The approach road on the left bank is an elevated bridge and does not have a sidewalk. The approach road on the right bank is an embankment. The bridge deck has a parabolic cross slope. The bridge is managed by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government."
