What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Okura Beach is praised for its family-friendly calm waters and the spectacular views of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. Visitors appreciate the relaxing atmosphere and the convenience of nearby restaurants and BBQ facilities. However, some find the water a bit cold and the beach cleanliness could be improved.
"Okura beach is a great little beach to soak up the sun and cool off in the water. There aren't really any waves, so it's great to bring little ones. Lots of families there, but not overcrowded. There were 3 lifeguards on shore and 2 more in a boat at the furthest roped off area for swimming. The ground is a little rocky so I'd suggest swim shoes. I'll also be bringing a float with me next time. There is an area roped off for anyone wanting to play soccer or beach volleyball. There are also some nearby covered areas with BBQ grills and tables, but I'm not sure if there's a fee for that. Also, great view of the suspension bridge and Awaji island.
Asagiri station is the closest station only 350 meters away."
