"This is a dam that you can easily get to by car.
The map of the area shows Kurokawa Dam nearby, but please note that the road is reserved for dam personnel only and cannot be used by general vehicles.
The navigation system will show a shortcut, but it is mostly forest roads with falling rocks, it is difficult to pass other vehicles, there is a steep slope, and you need to be prepared to drive on the edge of a cliff.
It takes about 20 minutes to get there, so it is worth the time.
Please note that you will have to cross a mountain pass and go through the mountains, so your cell phone will not work outside the coverage area."

Below the dam there is some interesting art, Tataragi Forest Resort CoCoDe, and it's a great place to play in the river.
It was great to be able to enjoy the spectacular view from the dam's outlet (?), but it was also great to see it from a high altitude on the road leading to Kurokawa Dam.
When the water level is low you can really feel the height, and those who aren't good with heights may find their legs shaking!"
