Golden dress / Shelves whisper secrets / Follow me in ✨ Okay… tell me I’m not the only one who finds bookstores way too tempting 📚✨ Between glossy covers, hidden gems, and late-night manga finds, I somehow ended up shopping in this dress. Totally practical, right? 😇 Should I grab a mystery novel, a manga, or just let you choose my bedtime read? 👀

Reviews Summary

K-Books Akihabara is a highly recommended second-hand store for Japanese pop culture enthusiasts, praised for its vast inventory of rare and out-of-print items, especially Hololive merchandise. While some visitors find it too crowded, the organized shelves and the thrill of discovery make it a must-visit for collectors seeking unique treasures at potentially good prices.

"This store is mainly for character goods like pins, acrylic stands, keychains and smaller items sorted by series and character. Mainly popular series like Jujutsu Kaisen, One Piece, haikyu, demon slayer and lots of idol series and mobile gaming series as well. It gets very crowded during the day but it’s Tokyo so its kind of expected space is small. Not an issue personally but just expect to be squeezing by people and not having room to bend over lots. Just share the space and if you want to get by you can say “sumimasen” the Japanese locals will let you by they are very kind. Prices are a bit more expensive of course than online places like mercari but you get the convenience of buying it and bringing it home with you where if you buy online your paying for shipping in most cases. Most pins and keychains are around 5-8$ with popular characters sometimes being around 10-12$ acrylic stands go for about 5-20$ and they do have a mix of other items like some smaller plush, postcards, figurines. If your looking for character goods this is a good place you can also find some really cheap prices on some items you can also find this kind of stuff at many Bookoff locations but prices are quite similar depending what part of Tokyo you are in. If being in a crowded place doesn’t bother you then definitely check it out 😸"

"I am ashamed I could not give it perfect 5 stars because way too many people shop here and it is too crowded 95% of the time.

In this second hand shop, I was able to get some treasures that I would definitely not find online for a cheap price.

I have been extremely lucky (in my opinion) to get the items when 80 percent of the time the few characters I look for have absolutely nothing in their isle."

Alex Ng

"This store is incredibly crowded and many badges and products are way too overpriced here. I didn’t purchase anything here because of the large amount of people and the confusing store layout. They have lots of Hololive and vocaloid merch. This place is really best for badges but expect to pay premium prices!! I have seen other reviews about unfriendly staff but didn’t encounter any so I can’t confirm anything."
