What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mars Yamanashi Winery offers a charming, albeit small, experience with generous free wine and juice tastings from barrel taps. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the opportunity to purchase unique wines. However, some express disappointment that premium or award-winning wines are not always available for tasting, even paid ones.
"This winery is small and simple, but offers free tasting of approx 6-7 drinks into very small cups. They also have a shop with some unique wines."
Blanka Kobayashi
"The port is excellent but I have to say I was highly disappointed by the tasting samples, they definitely didn't put their best out for sampling. I could clearly find a wine fault in one sample."
cmcrisp
"Very DISAPPOINTED 🤔.
I came to taste their best wine which is a Gold Award winner - Hosaka Koshu Barrel Fermentation but they did not make tasting, even a paid one.
I decided NOT TO BUY any wine from them 🫢🫢
If they let you taste only the cheapest and less signuficant wines, it does not worth it!
I weny to Chateau Mercian afterwards, and had a wonderful tasting experience.
NOT RECOMMENDED 😐😐"
