Reviews Summary

Visitors appreciate the free admission and the historical insights into the Tokaido Road and Fujisawa-juku. It's seen as a valuable stop for history buffs and those walking the old route, with added perks for cyclists. Some find the maps a bit basic, and parking can be tricky.

"2025.6
No admission fee.
Opened on April 29, 2016
Immediately inside the entrance, there is a local materials exhibition room, which displays the history and culture of Fujisawa-juku and the Tokaido. The exhibition mainly uses panels, and there are also actual items such as pillows and compasses used in the Edo period. The next room is a multipurpose hall, which usually displays panels.
The multipurpose hall is apparently used for comedy shows and vaudeville shows.
The bicycle parking area is located at the back or side of the entrance, so it is difficult to find.
[Overview]
This facility provides a place to interact with the history and culture of the old Tokaido Fujisawa-juku, as well as promotes interaction between local people and visitors to the area, thereby contributing to the promotion of culture among citizens and contributing to the revitalization and creation of excitement in the old Tokaido Fujisawa-juku and the surrounding area."

"I suddenly think. Let's walk along the old Tokaido.

Now that I'm older, I suddenly thought I'd like to walk along the Old Tokaido Road in my hometown for the sake of health and intellectual curiosity! lol

After having breakfast in Chinatown, we headed to Kanagawa-juku, our starting point.
From here, just walk west.
It takes about 6 hours from Kanagawa → Hodogaya → Totsuka → Fujisawa.
At that goal is the Fujisawa City Fujisawa-juku Community Center.
Isn't this the most magnificent building as a museum of the old Tokaido in Kanagawa Prefecture?

We also have a wide selection of paper materials, which are reminiscent of the thoughts of those who walked the old Tokaido.

The old Tokaido road in Kanagawa is an easy walk.
Why not take a walk?"

しんご

"I went in because I heard they offer cold water to refill my cycle bottle. I think you can probably use the restroom as well. I think it's great that they're open on weekends.
This time, my goal wasn't to learn about local history, so I'm not sure about that, but I'll check it out sometime."
