What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the absolutely stunning and iconic views of Mount Fuji from the Chureito Pagoda, calling it a must-see for photographers. However, many note that the experience can be stressful due to significant crowds and the strenuous climb, with parking being particularly expensive and limited.
"Absolutely stunning view. It's no coincidence that it's featured in many a travel photographers profile or book about Japan. It took us underneath a quarter of an hour to get to the top - theoretically, as you almost reach the top there's a queue waiting for the viewing platform.
It's very crowded, not all people are friendly and polite and the whole experience is at the beginning (depending on your arrival time) a rather stressful one. But the views make up for it, no matter the time of day or the time of year. Photography advice: 16 to 24mm for the grand vista shots, up to 70 for details. Tripod is possible if wanted, but mind some people bumping into it. Theres facilities, the locals try the best to keep them clean, which is unfortunately not so easy as it seems."

"Sensō-ji Temple is absolutely beautiful. The atmosphere walking through the gates and along Nakamise Street is unforgettable — vibrant yet still spiritual once you reach the temple itself. The architecture is stunning, and the surrounding area is full of history and culture. Definitely worth the visit!"

"Absolutely stunning view point. It’s beautiful at sunrise. I imagine a little nicer than sunset only due to the direction of the sunrise.
It would be beautiful to see with a snow capped mountain.
Let’s of stairs to climb, but the payoff is worth it."
