The helpfulness of staff, like Peter, and the availability of local crafts and food are also highlights. Some wish for more English translations on displays.
"Peter from Hachi Museum was fantastic! He spoke perfect English and helped us not only in the museum, but how to catch the correct bus back to Misawa. He went above and beyond in helping us. What a beautiful museum! The photos don’t do it justice. You can see many students and young adults working on projects here- it’s very lively. And it’s FREE ADMISSION!!! We learned how textile is made and bought some handmade buttons. There a delicious cheese shop and food stands there as well."

"This is a great museum to learn about the history of Hachinohe! I was really impressed how clean it was and it’s also so big! There are so many artifacts to look through! Most of the local school kids swing by here after school to study together, creating a library type of vibe. Everyone is super friendly and on the upper levels, there is a place for little kids to run around. This is a must see for Hachinohe."
