What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Asahidake Campground offers an affordable and functional stay with clean facilities and a friendly manager, particularly good for RVs. However, visitors must be prepared for intense mosquito swarms and a strict 6 PM closing time, with no showers available on-site.
"We took a RV camper. So we had to park in that designated area, luckily it was still on grass so it felt more like nature. The manager was very kind and relaxed.
We only stayed one night after doing the rope-way. I think this place had a good feel but we were swarmed by mosquitoes in the afternoon and morning. Like an unreasonable amount of mosquitoes to the point where you couldn’t do anything but constantly swat at yourself while trying to cook a meal. Nothing worked to get the mosquitos away. For that reason, we couldn’t stay longer.
The onsen near by are convenient."

"Slept here for one night in a campervan before heading to Asahidake. 500 yen per person, clean toilets, wifi and pleasnt enough kitchen, very friendly owner.
It was a nice stay!"

"Good campground with good facilities. Tent space is ample but check in by 6pm. Kitchen is well lit and toilets are clean and nice. The lights of the campground however goes away by 9pm until 5am so if you are alone then a bit scary hahaha!!"
